The multi-volume work includes biographical descriptions of the scholars who have lived and worked in Rostock. This elaborate work was written by a Protestant theologian and historian Johann Bernhard Krey (*December 1771 + 6. October 1826)
This scholarly history (as the digital edition of the Rostock University Library was provided) He earned great merits in Mecklenburg. Krey had studied at the University of Rostock and theology in Jena.
In 1807 ordered him to be deacon and 1814 the pastor at St.. Petri in Rostock. 1816 He was Dr. of theology.
