Genealogy - How do I research my ancestors? – Seminars at community colleges in Austria

In the spring of 2012 wird Felix Gundacker an verschiedenen Volkshochschulen in Wien und Niederösterreich Ahnenforschungs-Seminare halten.

The students will learn in this one-day introductory seminar, how to get started with genealogy, to see what the church and government archives, documents are necessary, the problems faced by the researcher is and how to solve it easily can (Kurrent, Latin, Geography, Parish- and manorial boundaries, Orthography, Families- and Vornamensgebung, Reliability of records, etc.), and the possibilities offered by the Internet. Typical church records are explained, and finally found a practical example ancestors with Internet Solutions.
